In the main dining room, Chef Isao Yamada presents his artisanal kaiseki menu ($135) as well as a shorter six-course tasting menu ($85) and a fully vegetarian menu ($85). Because kaiseki is based around tasting menus à la carte dining is not available. Noted sommelier Seju Yang directs brushstroke’s impressive wine and sake program, and a full selection of seasonally-inspired artisanal cocktails are also available. The kaiseki menus are served both at tables or at brushstroke’s unique chef’s counter overlooking the open kitchen.
In the separate sushi area, Chef Eiji Ichimura serves traditional edo-mae sushi in an intimate setting. This master chef’s omakase menus start at $150, with Chef Ichimura improvising and tailoring the menu to each individual customer. Seating in the sushi area is extremely limited, and reservations must be made via our reservation hotline.
